Who are we?
Rhubarb Catering is the Hobart-based business of Oliver and Kezia Mellers. Our passion is providing delicious, exciting food, delivering heartfelt and intuitive service, and making your memorable night seem effortless.
Oli started his food journey growing up in the kitchens of his parents restaurants, and went on to complete his apprenticeship in Hobart before travelling to London to learn traditional French cooking techniques. Once in London he became the Sous chef at Lord’s Cricket Ground as well as studying butchery in Devon, seafood at the famous London Fish Markets and pastry with Thierry Besselievre. Oli went on to work in Michelin-starred restaurants in London and completed his time in London working at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck.
On his return to Hobart, Oli was the Executive Chef at Blundstone Arena providing corporate catering during cricket games, North Melbourne AFL football games and many other events. He then took the reins at The Henry Jones Art Hotel as Executive Chef, and opened Landscape Restaurant and Grill, which was awarded Tasmanaia’s best restaurant in the Gourmet Traveller 2018 restaurant guide.
He returns to private catering alongside his wife, Kezia, and is excited to bring his love of food to your table.
